Wheaton McClanathan is a professional bagpiper located in The United States Of America, specifically Phoenix, Arizona. Wheaton learned to play the bagpipes from his father Michael McClanathan in the year 2000. Michael is an accomplished bagpiper himself who was competing for trophies and ribbons when he was just a child. Wheaton has 25 years of experience playing the Great Highland Bagpipe and uses that expertise to bring long lasting impact and memories to families and businesses across The Valley. Wheaton has worked with companies such as Marriott Resorts, Discover Financial, and, Phoenix Country Club, and has appeared on local favorite FOX 10 Arizona news station. Teaching new students the bagpipes is something Wheaton has thrived at. He began teaching the bagpipes in 2009 and uses his natural teaching ability coupled with the power of technology to advance his students to the next level. Wheaton lives in the best city in the 50 states with his wife and 3 boys. In their free time they snowboard, golf, and enjoy NFL, UFC, and Knight Rider reruns. Wheaton’s father Michael owns the only kilt and bagpipe shop in The Valley called Claymore Imports which is located near Scottsdale Road and Thunderbird.
